Shankar Ji and Kartik performed together for the first time at a concert in Bangalore. Kartik’s hard work and passion for his music has paid off incredibly! After completing his Masters, he joined Shankar Mahadevan Academy as a Curriculum Designer and Mentor. Shankar Ji was very impressed with his performance and promised him that whenever the right opportunity arises, he will make sure Kartik sings with him on stage. He sang the song Mitwa in front of Shankar Ji in his style as a dedication to his guru.

During his master’s studies, there was a collegiate cultural program organized by the Shankar Mahadevan Academy. His love for music and his guru Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan was so pure that he got the chance to collaborate and sing with him.

Kartik followed his passion for music as a full time career. Although he pursued his studies in civil engineering and a master’s degree in urban planning, he did not pursue the work of his qualification.

Music was on his mind and soul since childhood.

He’s journey into music has been for more than 15 years and is also into imparting knowledge of Hindustani Music for Shankar Mahadevan Academy in Dubai.A prodigious musical artist, Kartik Raman, fascinates millions with his haunting voice and pro sense of beats and rhythm. Apart from singing he himself is a one man army where he writes, composes and even produces his own songs and if needed he plays also various instruments like keyboard, piano, drums, djembe, tabla, and so on. His presence is globally available through YouTube where you can hear him singing some really soulful songs which are covers as well as his own compositions. He has also been interviewed and featured by some popular radio stations like Radiocity and Radio Mirchi and his songs still play on the radio stations. He has also won'Excellence in Music' and ' Best Instrumentalist' by Manan Prakashan Publications. He is also been awarded by 2 gold medals by Mumbai University for his par excellence in singing. Anand Kumar C., Shailendra Bhartti, Pralay Band and few others. He has also shared the stage with some prominent artists from the Musical Industry like Kavita Seth, Pt. He has been a part of few remarkable events like Times of India Property Show where the mayor of Mumbai was the chief guest, Times of India Fresh Face, Kingfisher Backstage, Independence Day show for Indian Navy, and many more. He has sung jingles for few corporate houses like Airtel, Vodafone, Tata, T-Series, and few others. He has lent his voice for various Bollywood films like Sixteen & Dushman. Suraj being into the same field has been creating his mark on his own capabilities and talent. His father is one of the most prominent and world renowned devotional singer Shri Shailendra Bhartti and his uncle Shri Devendra Bhartti is a par excellent Tabla maestro who has been accompanying some legendary artists like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Suresh Wadkar, Sukhwinder Singh, and many more. was a Legendary Singer having won 'Dadasaheb Phalke Award'. Suraj Bhartti is a third generation protégé from his musical family.
